AMANDA CY
Born in London and raised in Stockholm, Amanda Cygnaeus is a singer-songwriter with a creative outlook that is intentionally undefined by genre.
Now based in Sweden but regularly working in the UK and overseas, she has built deep ties within a close-knit international community of creatives. Amanda’s writing draws on Sweden’s rich tradition of melody-led pop but her own palette leans left-of-centre. Melodies come instinctively, but her lyricism sets her apart.
She is frequently brought into sessions for her ability to generate ideas, as well as edit and refine: pushing songs beyond their first impulse, daring collaborators to articulate emotion more precisely and polishing ideas until the full potential of the song is realised.
In 2025, the quality, confidence and clarity of her work took a marked step forward, coinciding with an exponential increase in high-profile placements and international demand. That momentum has positioned her as a go-to writer of choice, trusted by collaborators not just for ideas, but for taste, judgement and execution at the highest level.
Recent credits include NMIXX (on their their 2 x Platinum LP ‘Blue Valentine’), Otto Knows, 220 KID, Destiny Rogers, TAEYEON, Jeff Satur, Cloudy June & Son of Son. She was a key collaborative partner across Daniela Rathana’s album ”Where Strippers Go to Die”, playing a central role in creating the album’s emotional and lyrical identity.
Amanda heads into 2026 with multiple releases scheduled, from K-Pop giants to artists across the UK, US, Germany and Scandinavia, reflecting both the growing demand for Amanda’s style and her ability to work across cultural and musical contexts.
Outside of music, she is a keen mountain climber, often drawing inspiration from time spent in the Swedish wilderness — with moments of stillness combined with adrenaline.
