FELIX JOSEPH

Felix began his career in his teens, as a studio assistant for the iconic Madness, gaining an early grounding in analogue equipment and classic recording techniques. That foundation still informs his work today, whether crafting songs at the piano, or building the beat-led productions he has become best known for.

Rooted in a meld of Hip Hop, R&B and 80s synths, Felix has developed a distinctive sound that blends those influences with contemporary genres. His ability to adapt across styles has led to collaborations with a diverse roster of artists including: AJ Tracey, Burna Boy, CASisDEAD, Doja Cat, FKA Twigs, Goldlink, Jorja Smith, Leon Bridges, Mahalia, Olivia Dean, Pa Salieu, Tendai, Wiki and many more.

His natural affinity with artists has seen him take on major Executive Production roles, including Mahalia’s Love & Compromise and Pa Salieu’s acclaimed Send Them to Coventry and Afrikan Alien — the latter earning a prestigious Mercury Prize nomination. These projects have also brought widespread recognition, numerous awards, and two Ivor Novello nominations for Best Contemporary Song and Best Album.

Beyond the studio, Felix is also an accomplished photographer, regularly commissioned to create artwork and album covers for the artists he works with.

Regarded as something of an enigma in the UK music scene, he is a perfectionist, often uncompromising but always striving for something beautiful.
